About Us

I was born in Canada in 1963 and am a dual citizen of both Canada and the USA. I met my wife while pursuing my master’s degree at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. My bride-to-be was an American citizen, and we moved to New York and got married. I became a US citizen in 1996. In the 25 years that we lived in the USA, we lived in Colorado, New York and Massachusetts at various times. Both of our sons were born in the USA. In 2017, after having lived in Massachusetts for almost 20 years, we moved back to Canada shortly after Trump was inaugurated as president for the first time. It was immediately obvious to us that Trump was a despicable human being, and we wanted nothing to do with his brand of politics. As US citizens, we continued to submit our absentee ballots in American Federal elections (needless-to-say for Biden and Kamala Harris). Having been traumatized by the 2016 US election, once we moved to Canada, I largely ignored politics both in Canada and the USA. I tried to live my best life while attempting to spread the emotions of peace, love, joy and compassion. Unfortunately, Trump’s brand of hate and aggression has followed us north and I can no longer ignore him and the threat he poses to the USA, Canada and the world. At 61 years old, I am compelled to act beyond simply casting a vote. Like many of you, the sentiment “NOT-ON-MY-WATCH” is strong within me. My wife and I recently welcomed our first grandchild into the world, and this has heightened our resolve to act. Despite strong impulses to act out of hate in response to Trump/Musk et. al. I am working hard to let the emotions of love and compassion be my guide to the threat they pose. I know that it was the rising negative emotions in the collective unconscious that brought us to this point and that acting from these negative emotions is not the path forward.
